Bleach Vs Naruto Character History - Kakashi

Kakashi started off having tools for every situation. He has a projectile to zone with, a teleport attack to punish players who try to zone with projectiles, and a move that allows him to get close fast. He also had a combo that could chain into itself a few times (J > J > KJ > repeat) but it wasn't an infinite just yet. He was good in everything, but wasn't too good in anything, making him a true all-rounder.
v1.2
Kakashi's chain combo (J > J > KJ > repeat) finally became an infinite. This sounds great, but he got nerfed pretty hard. His WU struggles to combo the multi-hits into each other all the time and is much slower which made it a much worse punish tool. His SU is much worse as it has higher startup, more end lag, and travels less distance. While the 2nd hit of it is unblockable now, that won't matter because if you block the 1st hit you can easily escape the move entirely. WJ is also has a little more end lag. His SJ however is faster in startup, which does make it more useful, but doesn't help much beacuse that move is good for zoning at mid-range but he already has a move that can zone and at a much farther distance so it didn't make him any better. Kakashi got hit hard this version despite being fairly balanced in the previous versions. Kakashi became from a solid character to being a pretty awful character.
v1.3-v1.68
Kakshi did get some of his problems solved from v1.2. His WU now have the multi-hits connect properly and got its startup reduced and his SU traveled farther and faster, however both moves were still pretty slow on startup to be reliable moves. His WJ also received less end lag. His I now has a hitbox that is unblockable located closest to Kakashi. Kakashi isn't as bad as we was in v1.2, but he still wasn't good yet.
v1.7
Kakashi's WU struggles to hit his opponent now as it will miss unless you perform it facing away your opponent. However WI seems to keep his opponent in hitstun forever, which allows him to setup a free infinite.
v1.8-v1.9
Kakashi's 1st hit of U no longer send his opponent's upwards so now both hits can combo reliably. The WU problem from v1.7 got fixed and WI no longer puts his opponent in hitstun forever.
v2.0
Kakashi's U now shoots 4 shurikens instead of 2, which allows him to beat out other zoning attacks. SJ is slower, but is now unblockable, finally giving Kakashi a viable unblockable which he lacked for so long (outside of I at close range). J > J > J > WU for some reason no longer combos properly unless you put your opponent at a corner. WU also no longer knocksdown so it has combo potential at the corner, since WU > KJ doesn't link properly normally. SU has reduced startup so it comes out instantly and it no longer knocksdown so it can now combo, however the 2nd hit in no longer unblockable (as it needed it anyways, it didn't really help since the 2nd hit came out too slow). KU also knocks down so it no longer can set up combos. WI has less end lag, so WI up close can setup an infinite.
v2.1-2.6
Kakashi's J > J > J > WU > KJ now combos properly, otherwise he is pretty much the same.
v3.0
Kakashi became from a solid mid-tier to a top tier character in this version. his SJ is now a fast dash that works similar to his old SU. KJ no longer sends him upwards. His U's projectiles travel much more distance. His SU is now his old SJ, except now it goes further. WU comes out faster so it is a better punish tool but it now knocksdown so it cannot continue combos anymore. His I was changed to match Sasuke's I, which does not have an unblockable hitbox anymore but does so much damage to energy that it has guard break potential. WI now shoots a beam of electricity which has low endlag and can even setup guard breaks in the corner with WI > SU, which made Kakashi a monster in the corner. In fact, WI covers so many options in the corner which makes it one of the best supers in the game. SI is no longer unbloackable.
v3.1-v3.3
Kakashi didn't get many changes other than SI getting a damage nerf. Otherwise he is still amazing.
